What are the advantages of starting swimming early?

Research has shown that children who learn to swim at a young age reach many developmental milestones earlier than the norm.

This isn’t just physically, it also includes literacy, numeracy, social and emotional indicators as well!

Are your pools heated?

Yes, our pools are heated to a constant 32 degrees, perfect for babies and young swimmers to stay warm and comfortable all year round

Please see the swim school program section on our site for further information.

Each lesson lasts 30 minutes

Can we take photos of our child?

Yes, you’re welcome to take photos of your child but please be mindful of other children and parents who may not wish their children to be photographed.

How will I get feedback and updates on my childs progress?

The BK Gym & Swim app has been designed to provide feedback on your childs development after every lesson and at the end of each term.
By downloading our app, your child will also be able to receive awards and certificates for participation and achievement of milestones.

In addition, the head coach will be available to discuss progress with you one on one.

Do we need to sign up for a full term?

No, you can come on a week to week basis, however you just need to give us 4 weeks notice if you decide to cancel your lessons.
We think you’ll love us though and we offer a special 30 day money back guarantee when you join to give you the confidence to try us out risk free.

Is there a minimum term?

In addition, we offer a special 30 day money back guarantee when you join so you can try us out risk-free.

Do the programs run on the same times as school terms?

Swimming is a journey that doesn’t stop when school terms do! Our program runs 48 weeks a year to recognise this. Need to take an extended break?
If the break is due to a medical reason, you can either use make-up lessons as a replacement for short periods or apply a $5 weekly fee for longer periods to hold your preferred lesson time.

Planning a holiday to try out those new swimming skills? We have 4 weeks of non lesson periods over Christmas and Easter along with the ability to suspend 4 weeks of your own choosing. Lessons may be suspended, in advance, for a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 4 weeks at any one time with a maximum of 4 lessons per year.

Once we've started, can we change our lesson day or time?

Of course you can! Our industry leading technology means you can see our all of our class vacancies across the week in real time and change to something more suitable.

If we don’t have anything currently that suits you can also register using our waitlist function and you will be notified immediately once something becomes available.

Do you offer school holiday programs?

Yes we do. Our holiday program is an intensive dose of daily lessons for four consecutive days.  It’s a fun and healthy activity for the kids and a great opportunity to get some extra practice or experience our program for the first time.

Can we get a make-up lesson if we can't make the session?

Yes unlike some of our competitors we endeavour to put the customer first with make up lessons. To qualify parents need to give 24 hour notice via the app that their child will be unable to attend their regular class.

Parents will then be able to see make up vacancies across the week and choose a suitable time to undertake the make up class. We ask that parents book in for these as quickly as close to the same week as possible though so students are able to stay connected to our curriculum.

What is your cancellation policy?

We hate to see people go but we understand there are lots of reasons why it happens. Hopefully we can help first if something comes up that is a barrier to continuing but if not, parents just need to notify us in writing with 4 weeks notice that they will be leaving the program.
